The Special Prosecution Office has notified Evis Berberi, former director of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), of the conclusion of investigations within the “Balluku” case file.
Berberi reportedly has been charged with “Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions” in nine instances.
The former head of ARRSH is one of 26 defendants in the case file related to the investigations into former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and public procurement procedures suspected of being irregular.
As part of this case, SPAK has also concluded its investigations into Balluku and other persons involved in the file, which is expected to be sent to trial at the Special Court.
