The Transparency and Temporary Price Cap Board for wholesale and retail sales prices of petroleum and natural gas by-products, pursuant to Council of Ministers Decision No. 711, dated 16.09.2026, “On declaring a special situation in the hydrocarbons market”, in implementation of Articles 21/3 and 21/5 of Law No. 8450, dated 24.2.1999, “On the processing, transportation and trade of oil, gas and their by-products”, as amended, as well as Normative Act No. 1, dated 3.4.2026, “On an addition to Law No. 61/2012, ‘On excise duties in the Republic of Albania’,” as amended, held its regular meeting.
Thus, the Transparency Board, on 29 October 2026, decided:
The retail sales price of the by-product gas oil, of standard SSH EN 590, shall be no more than 212 lekë per litre, while the wholesale sales price shall be no more than 200 lekë per litre.
The retail sales price of the by-product gasoline, of standard SSH EN, shall be no more than 181 lekë per litre, while the wholesale sales price shall be no more than 169 lekë per litre.
The prices set by the Board shall enter into force today, 29 at 15:00, and shall remain valid until the Board’s next meeting, where changes to sales prices will be reflected.
We draw the attention of every wholesale and retail operator of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision.
In case of violations found by various operators, suspension of activity will be imposed.
