PD deputy Ina Zhupa has accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of double standards in his stance toward protesters and individuals involved in corruption or abuse of office.
Speaking at the student protest, Zhupa said young people are not backing down in the face of pressure and warnings from the prime minister.
According to her, Rama is using the threat of prison against minors who have taken to the streets to protest, while earlier, according to the Democratic deputy, he had supported legal changes related to penalties for corruption and abuse of office.

Whoever sacrifices freedom for a little security loses both and deserves neither. This is the essence of the student protest, whose participants are not backing down from Edi Rama’s threats over their safety, their movement, or the prison term he warned all minors about today.
The same prime minister who said 10 days ago that prison should be abolished for those who steal, for those who abuse their office, for those who commit corruption. Today he threatened Albanian children for protesting.
The more of us there are in the square, the more we will be. Rama, resign! Your end is very near.
