Interior Minister Ervin Demo stated today that the State Police is working to identify all persons who used violence against police officers, as well as against public and private property during the protest.
In a statement to the media, attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Demo said authorities are analyzing a number of information sources and footage to identify those involved in the violent acts.
“We have, day by day, cases that are identifiable even when protesters have hidden their faces with masks. The State Police is very clear regarding its duty to bring before the Prosecutor’s Office the persons who used violence during the protest”, Demo said.
According to the minister, the Police also has footage obtained from public sources, which document the episodes of violence.
“Through technology we will make it possible to identify these persons more quickly. I want to assure all citizens that the State Police is working to bring to justice those who have damaged private and public property”, said the Minister of Internal Affairs.
