The State Cadastre Agency (ASHK) has continued its door-to-door work in the Finiq Municipality, with the aim of identifying on the ground and addressing the issues of homes without property documentation. ASHK’s Director General, Lorena Goxhobelli, was in Finiq to closely follow this process. During the meeting with residents, she said that work has already been completed in the first six villages, which include the Finiq Administrative Unit, while work teams are currently engaged in the ten villages of the Aliko Administrative Unit.
“We are going door to door to address all homes that do not have property documentation. The goal is to identify the problems closely on the ground and follow the procedures for their resolution, while all data is published on the ASHK website, guaranteeing transparency for every party,” Goxhobelli said. According to the Cadastre’s plan, fieldwork is expected to be completed in all 52 villages of the Finiq Municipality by the end of November. In parallel with the identification of homes, the processing of cases continues, with the aim of advancing the procedures to resolve the identified issues.
Goxhobelli stressed that residents’ participation during field visits is important for the smooth running of the process. “We periodically publish the dates when our teams are present in each village and work closely with the Finiq Municipality to inform residents. It is important that they be present during the action and submit the necessary documentation, so that procedures can be followed and cases completed as well as possible,” she said.
The door-to-door Cadastre is part of ASHK’s commitment to closely identify property problems and follow the relevant procedures in cooperation with citizens and local government units. Besides Finiq, work teams have also been engaged in other areas of the country, including Velabisht in Berat, Vithkuq, Leskovik and Spitalla in Durrës, with the aim of extending the process to as many areas as possible where homes have problems with property documentation. Data on the progress of the work is published on the Cadastre’s online channels, allowing citizens to be informed about the process and the areas where fieldwork is being carried out.”
