The Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy will finance the development of road infrastructure in 2027 with 35.15 billion lek. Minister Enea Karakaçi said, “This is the fund the budget allocates to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy for road development.”
“35.15 billion lek for road infrastructure in 2027. This is the fund the budget allocates to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy for road development. But beyond the figure, what does this concretely mean? Two major projects, the Tirana–Durrës motorway and the Tirana–Ndroq–Plepa axis, will be fully financed from the state budget, creating the conditions to accelerate the works and complete them in as short a time as possible.
Meanwhile, another important project, the Elbasan bypass, is now moving into a new financing scheme through the state budget, giving a new perspective to the continuation and implementation of this project.
2027 also brings an important push for projects that are in development. The focus will be on Corridor VIII and the Blue Corridor, which is taking shape through concession projects: Kashar–Rrogozhinë, whose works begin at the end of this year; Lekaj–Fier and Milot–Balldren, for which we are close to signing the contract that paves the way for finalizing the implementation project, to start work,” Karakaçi said.
The minister stressed that ARRSH is finalizing and continuing work to create new road projects. He underlined that the government’s objective is to build a modern road infrastructure that improves the connection between cities and regions. According to Karakaçi, this also strengthens Albania’s integration with European transport networks.
