The nationwide student protest held this Saturday in Tirana ended amid tensions and clashes, leaving traces in several of the areas where the rally took place. After the protest concluded, work began on the streets of the capital to clean and restore public spaces, with the aim of returning normality for citizens.
Footage from the work being carried out on the ground was also shared by the head of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, Taulant Balla. Through a post, he conveyed the message that, after the protesters left, the city must be cleaned and returned to its citizens.
“The vandals have left, now Tirana must be cleaned and returned to citizens to enjoy tomorrow, Sunday”, Balla wrote, accompanying his reaction with footage from the cleaning process.
