Some students who took part in the protests held in Vlora were detained by police. Officers in blue uniforms intervened, taking several of them from their homes and escorting them to the premises of the Vlora Police.
So far there is no complete information on the reasons for the detentions or the number of students taken in. The incident follows student protests in the city of Vlora.
It is reported that the students were taken to the police station on charges of “Disturbing public order,” “Blocking road sections,” and “Damaging public property.”
Arlind Baja said he gave a statement to police. Asked about the treatment by the blue-uniformed officers, he said the questions were open-ended and that they were treated as cooperative. “We were asked about the protest, nothing more. A voluntary statement. Very cooperative, just open questions,” he told the media.
