The Tirana Marathon 2026 will not take place this weekend, on October 24 and 25, as originally planned. The organizers have announced the postponement of the sporting event to November 14 and 15, 2026.
The decision was made due to recent developments in the country and the inability to guarantee the necessary safety standards for runners and spectators along the race route. In a statement, the organizers stressed that the safety of participants and the public remains a priority, describing the postponement as a difficult but necessary decision.
All registrations made will automatically remain valid for the new dates, without participants needing to take any additional action. Registrations for the race will remain open, while bibs and runner kits will be distributed two days before the event takes place.
