The Special Court has ruled that the Meta-Kryemadhi trial will proceed without a lawyer from October 29. The court proceedings against Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi have faced repeated postponements, partly due to the boycott by lawyers.
Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi are charged by the Special Prosecution with the criminal offenses of corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. Both have denied the charges.
