Located on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, the situation has escalated significantly into moments of chaos and intense clashes.
Following the use of tear gas and the spraying of pressurized water to disperse the crowd in front of the Prime Minister’s Office building, police forces and rapid intervention officers have launched another operation on the ground.
Police cordons were quickly broken through and officers moved into the crowd of protesters, where the first detentions began. Citizens and young people are being apprehended by police.
Physical clashes occurred as protesters attempted to prevent the arrests of their fellow citizens, while tear gas smoke and chaos continue to cover the entire length of the boulevard.
