A 53-year-old man from Bulqiza was found dead yesterday on the mountain of Bulqiza, while a forensic examination revealed new details that have directed the investigation toward suspicion of murder.
Following an examination carried out in Tirana, a wound allegedly caused by a firearm, with a bullet lodged in the chest area, was reportedly found on the victim’s body.
Initially, there were suspicions that 53-year-old U. Fiku may have been attacked by wild animals.
However, the finding of the wound suspected to have been caused by a firearm has opened a new line of investigation into the circumstances of his death.
The prosecution and the investigative team are continuing their inquiries to fully clarify the incident, determine the cause of death and establish whether this was a criminal act.
