The testimony of N. Manzi, the 40-year-old suspected of killing brothers Selam and Nazmi Islamaj and wounding Shefqet Islamaj in the serious incident that took place a day earlier in Kamëz, has been made public.
It is reported that Manzi told investigators the conflict began because of works being carried out by the Islamaj brothers. He claims he was concerned about a concrete mixer passing in front of his home and had asked them to use an alternative road.
According to his testimony, the heavy vehicles had to perform several maneuvers to pass through the area, while his request was opposed by the brothers.
The 40-year-old also claimed that Sh. Islamaj had pushed and struck his parents. After learning of this, Manzi states that he struck Sh. Islamaj, and then his two brothers also became involved in the conflict.
The clash escalated to the use of a firearm. According to the version given by him, Manzi took out a pistol and fired at the brothers.
As a result of the shots, S. and N. Islamaj lost their lives, while Sh. Islamaj was left wounded.
