The session lasted about an hour amid quarrels and clashes in the chamber, and the Assembly was closed quickly.
Today’s sitting was marked by tensions and physical clashes between deputies of the Democratic Party (PD) and those of the Socialist Party (PS).
After it began with tensions from the outset, the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi, went directly to a vote due to the situation.
While he read the articles and draft laws for a vote at high speed, the majority held up green cards, while the opposition overturned chairs, blocked the rostrum, and then began throwing cardboard and water bottles at the PS chairs.
The physical clash occurred between PD deputy Fidel Kreka and former minister Ervin Hoxha. Amid the chaos, Peleshi managed to conduct the session and put all items to a vote.
