The Democratic Party demands the immediate resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the formation of a caretaker government, and the arrest of Belinda Balluku. In a statement to the media, the PD opposes the involvement of President Bajram Begaj in consultations to resolve the political crisis, accusing him of complicity in affairs involving army property.
According to the Democratic Party, the crisis of the government’s legitimacy cannot be resolved without meeting the demands of students and high school students in Tirana, as well as the opposition. The PD lists three main demands: the immediate resignation of Edi Rama and the formation of a caretaker government with a mandate to prepare elections according to international standards; the lifting of immunity and the arrest of Belinda Balluku, as well as of any politician for whom the justice authorities seek criminal prosecution for corruption.
In the statement, the opposition warns that it will not recognize any negotiation or agreement that conflicts with these demands or that, in its view, aims to prolong Edi Rama’s hold on power. The Democratic Party considers the fulfillment of these conditions non-negotiable for resolving the political crisis in the country.

Reports from various media outlets indicate that Edi Rama’s puppet, Bajram Begaj, at the order of his boss, has begun meetings and consultations to resolve the crisis, of which he himself is a harmful element.
Begaj is a co-author with the Godfather in major, clamorous schemes to steal army property, and for this joint theft he was rewarded with the post he holds, and he now seeks not to resolve but to deepen the crisis even further, despite its catastrophic consequences for the country.
Therefore, at these critical moments for the country, the Democratic Party declares that: resolving the severe crisis of the lack of legitimacy of the current criminal government has as its fundamental and non-negotiable condition the immediate fulfillment of the demands of the revolt of the students and high school students of Tirana, as well as of the Democratic Party and all of Albania:
1. The immediate resignation of Edi Rama.
The formation of a caretaker government with a mandate to prepare elections according to international standards.
2. The immediate lifting of immunity and the arrest of Lubi Balluku and of any politician whom the justice authorities seek for the criminal act of corruption!
3. The Democratic Party declares that it will not recognize any kind of negotiation or agreement that conflicts with the above demands or that seeks to prolong the life of Edi Rama, a politically rotten corpse.
