Prime Minister Edi Rama is in Budva, Montenegro, where he is attending the Summit of Leaders of the Berlin Process. The meeting opens with a plenary session on the theme “A Region in Motion: The Western Balkans Shaping the Common Future of Europe.”
Upon arrival, Rama paused briefly before reporters, commenting on his return to this annual meeting, which this year is being hosted in Montenegro. In an ironic tone, the head of government pointed to the presence of helicopters every time he visits the country, while expressing satisfaction at taking part in another edition of the Berlin Process.
“It is the only place where you always have a helicopter over your head every time you come,” Rama said, adding that he feels good being at this meeting again and is happy to continue discussions with the other participating leaders. After his short remarks, the prime minister proceeded to the meeting, which focuses on regional cooperation and the shared European perspective of the Western Balkan countries.
