Minister of Justice Toni Gogu has issued an official response to Bledi Çuçi and Fatmir Xhafaj regarding the transfer of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj from the Durrës prison to the one in Fier.
The Minister of Justice has ordered the General Directorate of Prisons to carry out an inspection of 24 prisoner transfers conducted over the past 11 days. The review aims to verify the procedures and circumstances under which these transfers were carried out, including that of Erion Veliaj.
The response from the General Directorate of Prisons is now expected, and it will report on the results of the inspection and the verifications carried out.
