My dear Albanians,
You welcomed me into your homes as Sadhna and gave me so much love, regardless of language and distance, which have never been an obstacle between us. I have always kept this love in my heart.
Today, my heart is heavy when I think of you, especially your young people, their hopes and dreams, and the families who wait anxiously for them to return home safe and sound.
It is deeply painful that young hearts must face so much fear, when they should have so many reasons to hope ahead. Every young person deserves to be heard, to be treated with compassion and dignity, and to believe that in their own country there is a place for their dreams and aspirations.
I would like these words to bring at least some comfort to all those who are suffering. To every worried parent, every frightened young person, and anyone facing their pain in silence: you are in my thoughts and prayers.
You made someone, though far from you, feel like one of your own. Please know that your pain does not seem distant to me at all.
With much love and a silent prayer for calmer and gentler days,
Your Sadhna.
