Counter-terrorism expert Redion Qiriazi has analyzed Prime Minister Edi Rama’s statements regarding claims that the “Antifa” movement is inspiring or directing protests in Albania.
According to Qiriazi, Antifa does not represent a centralized organization with a single command, but rather a general label for groups with antifascist ideologies, mainly associated with the left. In his view, these groups operate in a decentralized and autonomous manner, uniting on the basis of shared ideological principles.
“Antifa is a general label for groups with antifascist ideologies, which are decentralized and operate in practice in many countries around the world. It is not that they have a command or a real structure”, Qiriazi said.
