Democratic Party MP Tomor Alizoti spoke today outside the parliamentary chamber, saying that Albania is in a major crisis and that the agenda should have included the widespread anger of Albanians toward the government.
“Parliament today should have had the students’ revolt on its agenda.
We look like China when student protests broke out and the National People’s Congress was discussing the five-year agricultural plan. Albania is in a deep crisis, which students and all Albanian citizens see, and who experience the hardships every day. Meanwhile, the former deputy prime minister comes here and does nothing but make empty talk.
I believe that even you are barely getting through the month, like the honest Albanians of this country. The agenda should have been the public anger, which has also made its way into international media,” Alizoti said in a statement to the media.
