Socialist MP Petro Koçi has commented on the latest events in Tirana.
In a social media post, Koçi writes that if political solutions become impossible, Albania risks facing scenarios even worse than that of 1997.

This enthusiasm of some SP deputies when they post the image of Ballu in Lanë seems to me both foolish and a boomerang.
It reminds me of Saliu’s dream of dragging Edi Rama through Lanë.
The name certainly matters.
But Ballu is neither Rama nor Saliu himself.
What is more important is the model it promotes.
It legitimizes a “path” of solutions in place of political solutions.
Solutions of the street and the crowd are not satisfied merely with Rama’s head, which they are currently demanding.
Loyal presence is an amateurish offer and not a serious, responsible reflection.
Free the Constitution from the Berisha-era 21 April 2008 decision, guarantee the action of justice for everyone regardless of name or hierarchy, change the electoral system away from the deadlock of unequal chances, restore democracy in the functioning of the party, cleanse the administration of corruption, etc.!
If political solutions become impossible, then ’97 will seem like a beautiful dream.
The current crowd is not that of the 1990s.
The international situation is not that of ’97.
Europe is already gripped by turmoil, troubles and big question marks, and does not have the anchor of that year.
The US did not speak last night to support a party or an individual, but to protect Albania from chaos, vengeful foreign influences and the delegitimization of the political process.
Do not allow, by undertaking reflection and serious reforms, the crowd to turn into a moral police over you and the civic majority, and tomorrow to dictate opinion rather than merely the way it is expressed.
