The High Judicial Council (KLP) set December 5 as the end date of the seven-year mandate of Prosecutor General Olsian Çela. The decision was taken during the plenary session held online today, where the Council reviewed several issues related to the evaluation of magistrates, the vetting of candidates for prosecutors, and the administration of vacant positions in the prosecution system.
As part of the ethical and professional evaluation process, KLP approved the reports for prosecutors Dashnor Nure and Bledar Valikaj, who each received 392 points and were rated “Excellent”. The Council also approved five draft decisions on the asset and integrity verification of candidates for prosecutor magistrates who graduated from the School of Magistrates in 2026: Ester Ruçi, Raklent Cami, Alba Bracaj, Aurora Vorfi and Indrit Batuni.
Regarding the disciplinary proceedings against prosecutor Sonila Qerolla, who serves at the Prosecution Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Dibër, the Council set November 19, at 10:00, for announcing the decision. During the meeting, the temporary filling of two vacant positions in the Elbasan Prosecution Office through temporary transfer with consent was also considered.
For this purpose, KLP set a five-day deadline for interested prosecutors to submit applications. The draft decision to suspend the ethical and professional evaluation procedure of prosecutor Ermira Manelli was withdrawn by the rapporteur and will be considered at the next plenary session.
