European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos will present the 2026 Enlargement Package report on 4 November, the European Parliament announced today, according to “European Western Balkans”. The report contains the European Commission’s assessments of 10 countries that are candidates or potential candidates for EU membership. The report will examine the progress of each country in implementing the reforms required by the European Union.
Following the publication of the assessments, the Parliament’s standing rapporteurs for the Committee on Foreign Affairs will prepare separate draft resolutions for each country. These resolutions will contain the European Parliament’s positions and recommendations on the steps each country should take on its path toward EU membership. On 5 November, the European Parliament will also hold a debate on the support instruments for the Western Balkans, Moldova and Ukraine.
Members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Budgets will jointly organise meetings to examine the implementation of financial instruments that support reforms and economic development in these countries. These meetings will review the Reform and Growth Facility for the Western Balkans, the Reform and Growth Facility for Moldova, and the support instrument for Ukraine.
