The Media and Information Agency (MIA) has denied claims circulating on social networks that members of the Armed Forces were deployed on the ground during today’s protest, dressed in State Police uniforms.
In a statement, MIA said this information is completely false.
“The Ministry of Defence categorically denies this claim, confirming that no member of the Armed Forces has been engaged in policing activities wearing the State Police uniform. According to the announcement, the Armed Forces carry out their duties in accordance with the Constitution and applicable legislation,” the statement said.
The Media and Information Agency has called on citizens not to share unverified information and to refer to official sources for accurate information.
