The clash between protesters and law enforcement has taken a new turn, as a group of young people moved from the city centre towards the main entry and exit roads of Tirana.
The young people are continuing their march along the Ring Road towards the Black Cat Junction, closely followed by State Police officers and FNSH units.
To slow the advance of police armoured vehicles and vans, protesters have begun setting up improvised barriers and barricades using materials at hand along the road.
Police are firing rubber bullets into the neighbourhood, where other residents not connected to the protest also live.
