Denis Meçe has been arrested by Pogradec Police after he was allegedly found to have violated the security measure of “house arrest.” According to police sources, a cousin of his was also arrested for non-reporting of a crime.
Sources say Meçe was found outside his residence, moving by vehicle, in violation of the security measure imposed by the court.
Meçe is one of the defendants in the murder of Egli Proga and, together with the other co-defendants, was being tried under the security measure of “house arrest.”
A few days earlier, the Korçë Court rejected the defendants’ request for a shortened trial, ordering that the judicial process continue under the regular procedure for the murder case of Egli Proga.
