Prime Minister Edi Rama, at the table of the National Council for the Rights and Protection of Children, said he had received messages from parents asking him for help for their children.
“I never imagined I would live in an Albania where fear of speaking out is fed by the intimidation of those who protest to make Albania better. I protest to make Albania better, and if you do not agree with me, I intimidate you, threaten you, and put you before a choice, which is a dramatic choice.
Either be with me, don’t come to class, or be a target of my violence. I have 10 messages from students who ask me to remain anonymous because they are afraid. I have 10 messages from the parents of these students asking for help because they feel powerless”, Rama said.
“Their children are threatened with a language that is criminal. We expect help from all of you who are engaged on a silent front, but very useful for the quality of life and the need for support for children and families who must not be left alone facing these very diabolical currents”, the prime minister added.
