A serious incident has been reported in Bulqizë, where a 53-year-old man is suspected to have lost his life after being attacked and bitten by a bear. The incident became known around 14:10, when the Bulqizë Hospital notified the police that relatives of a citizen with the initials U.F., about 53 years old, had requested medical assistance, as he was suspected of having been attacked by a wild animal.

Around 14:10 today, the Bulqizë Hospital notified the Operations Room of the Bulqizë Police Station that relatives of citizen U. F., about 53 years old, had requested medical assistance, after the latter was suspected of having been attacked and bitten by a wild animal (a bear).
Police services and the investigative group immediately went to the scene, where they established that the 53-year-old had lost his life.
The lifeless body of citizen U. F. has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further examinations.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is working to clarify and fully document the circumstances of this incident.
