Student protesters this Wednesday changed their strategy on the 16th day of the uprising, entering university premises and calling on other students to join their cause.
With the call “Join us!”, the protesters entered the Faculty of Economics, where they appealed to students to leave the lecture halls and join the protest. The movement is part of a march from the Ministry of Education toward the Prime Minister’s Office and other institutions.
In most classrooms they found no students, while where they did encounter them, they took them along on their march.
“Students are free both when they choose to boycott and when they choose to attend class. I have seen students coming to class, and naturally class will go on, and others who are not coming to class. We respect every student who comes to the lecture hall. I had students myself and taught today, around 20 students”, said Mirdaim Axhami, head of the Department of Marketing-Tourism.
