Over four days, almost 90 percent of the waste containers were burned, according to the Tirana Municipality. We are struggling to compensate private companies for burning all the containers, the same sources confirmed. Their absence will cause the city’s waste to spill onto the streets, and there remains a fear that it could spread disease.
