Analyst Mentor Nazarko has commented on political developments in Serbia and their possible impact on Albania, arguing that the fall of Prime Minister Edi Rama may come sooner than that of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, but for reasons related to internal Albanian developments.
Nazarko rejected the idea that political changes in Serbia could trigger a domino effect in Albania. According to him, comparisons between the two leaders rest mainly on their political closeness and are used more as propaganda arguments than as a genuine analysis of the situation.
“I am in favor of enlightened autocrats who serve their country. I do not want to declare Vučić an enlightened autocrat, but to compare the development parameters during his governance,” Nazarko said on “A2CNN”, stressing that Serbia has recorded developments in some of these indicators.
