Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has called on Albanians in Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa to take part in the elections for the Albanian National Council. The elections will be held on Sunday, 8 November.
In a Facebook post, Kurti said that 37,759 Albanians registered on the Special Electoral List are eligible to vote. Four lists with a total of 107 candidates are competing for 29 seats in this institution.
The head of the Government of Kosovo stressed the importance of these elections for the representation of Albanians in the Preševo Valley. He also spoke about protecting their collective rights. Kurti invited citizens to freely exercise their democratic right to vote, according to their own convictions. This, he said, is for equal rights and for the future in their homeland.
