The Ethics Secretariat in Parliament decided this Friday to suspend six Democratic Party MPs from plenary sessions for 60 days, following a request submitted by Socialist Party MPs.
Disciplinary measures were taken against Flamur Noka, Belind Këlliçi, Edi Paloka, Fidel Kreka, Luçiano Boçi and Besart Xhaferri.
For 14 other opposition MPs, the Secretariat only issued a warning, without imposing a suspension. This group includes Gjin Gjoni, Bardh Spahia, Albana Vokshi, Elda Hoti, Xhelal Mziu, Gent Strazimiri, Enno Bozdo, Kastriot Piroli, Kliti Hoti, Flamur Hoxha, Arjan Ndoja, Ivi Kaso, Zija Ismaili and Blendi Himçi.
The decision comes after tensions recorded a day earlier in Parliament, where Democratic MPs blocked the rostrum, there was a verbal clash, and objects were reportedly thrown in the direction of majority MPs.
