Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu criticized the Democratic Party for what he described as an attempt to take control of the protest in Tirana on its 12th day.
In a direct link with Report TV, Spahiu said the PD risks diluting civic causes by politically benefiting from the dissatisfaction of protesters.
“Today was the PD’s attempt to snatch the protest, the protest’s flag,” he said.
Spahiu also recalled the student movement of the ’90s, accusing Sali Berisha of benefiting from the students’ protest.
“Berisha stole the protest from 40,000 students. Only Berisha will benefit from this protest,” the lawyer stated.
He also referred to the events of January 21, 2011, raising questions about how the protest would be managed if Berisha were prime minister.
“Every time the PD has come out in protests, it has extinguished the fire of the people’s causes”, Spahiu concluded.
