Prime Minister Edi Rama today inspected the works at the Tirana Bypass construction site, accompanied by the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, and the Director of the Albanian Road Authority, Ami Kozeli.
Spanning 21 kilometres, this axis aims to create a direct link between the Tirana–Durrës motorway and the Tirana–Elbasan motorway, bypassing the capital city and enabling connection with the axes of the Blue Corridor.
“What everyone should keep in mind in this area is the significant increase in the value of their property. Meanwhile, without question, any expropriation will be carried out properly, with transparency and in compliance with the law. This will be an axis that will free the capital from an excessive burden, which comes as a result of the absence of this axis, through which everyone enters Tirana.
Thus, part of the flow will continue freely towards the south or southeast, depending on the destination, while the rest will have greater ease in entering and leaving the capital”, the Prime Minister stressed.
