Chess in Albania is expected to receive new support, aiming to make the sport more present in school life and in the community.
The news was announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama through a post on social media, where he said that chess now has its own home.
According to Rama, this development marks an important step for the chess community, while a dedicated budget is also being announced for bringing chess to as many schools in the country as possible.
The initiative aims to encourage young people’s interest in this strategic game, which helps develop concentration, logical thinking and analytical skills.
