The student protest, which began at the premises of the Faculty of Economics, has moved to the Ministry of Education, where young people have continued the rally with strong calls against the government and the political class in the country.
Equipped with placards and protest slogans, the students have articulated their demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, describing his departure as a non-negotiable condition. Calls for revolution and a change of the political system were not lacking during the march either.
Despite the prime minister’s repeated offers to hold a dialogue process with student representatives, the latter have refused to sit at the table proposed by the government.
The protesters remain firm in their position, stressing that dialogue is not an acceptable alternative as long as their main demand, the resignation of the prime minister, is not taken into consideration.
