The head of the Socialist Party (PS) parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has published a video from the protest in front of the Ministry of Education, in which several people, including a girl wearing a hijab, are seen taking part in the destruction of pavement tiles.
Alongside the footage circulating on social networks, Balla expressed regret for the acts of violence. Balla also said that this morning he met with an imam, who, according to him, reminded him of a lesson from the Quran, which condemns destruction and calls for the preservation of order on earth.
”In recent days I have also watched with regret some girls of the Islamic faith, who are identifiable by their hijab, RESPECT, who are involved in acts of violence. This morning I had coffee with an imam, who told me that the Quran teaches us: “Do not cause destruction on earth, after it has been set in order” (Al-A’raf). Allah does not love destruction. Anger does not justify violence, and no cause turns destruction into justice”, wrote Balla.
