The situation has become tense on Durrës Street, near the Ministry of Education, where the protest by students and citizens is continuing.
During the rally, some protesters have used slingshots against Police officers, while law enforcement forces have increased their presence in the area.
Through megaphone appeals, the Police asked protesters to distance themselves from acts of violence and continue the rally peacefully. The blue-uniformed officers warned that if violent actions continue, they will intervene.
The tensions come after several incidents recorded during the protest. Earlier, trash bins were set on fire and smoke flares were lit, while there was also a verbal clash between some students and supporters of the Democratic Party.
Police forces continue to remain positioned in the area, while the situation remains tense.
