The National Emergency Medical Center (QKUM) responded today to claims that ambulances are being used to transport tear gas. QKUM rejected these insinuations through an official statement, stressing that ambulances and medical teams are in the field only to assist people who need urgent medical help. Through this statement, QKUM said that obstructing traffic and acts of violence against ambulances or medical teams delay emergency intervention, directly endanger the lives of patients in need, and also jeopardize the safety of medical staff.
