Gramsh has a new stadium, a significant investment in sports infrastructure, made possible through cooperation between the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF) and the Gramsh Municipality.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by FSHF President Armand Duka and Gramsh Mayor Besion Ajazi, who praised the importance of this project for the development of football and for creating more opportunities for the children and young people of the city.
The new stadium is a modern sports facility that will serve Gramsh’s teams and various age groups, creating better conditions for training and for the development of football activities.
During the ceremony, President Duka said he was pleased to take part in the inauguration, thanking the Gramsh Municipality and the company that carried out the works. He stressed that the stadium is the result of very good cooperation between the FSHF and local government, and another step in implementing the strategy to give equal opportunities to children who want to play football, wherever they live.
“It is truly a pleasure for me to be part of this inaugural ceremony for this magnificent project for the city of Gramsh, which was realized as a result of very good cooperation between the Albanian Football Federation and the Gramsh Municipality. On this occasion I want to thank the mayor and the entire Gramsh Municipality, as well as the company that carried out the quality works on this project, in service of football in the city of Gramsh.
This project is part of the strategy of the Albanian Football Federation, and of football in general, to be close to people and give equal opportunities, everywhere and to everyone, to the children who want to play football”, said President Duka.
The President of the FSHF also underlined that this city deserves such infrastructure, both for its children and for its passionate football fans.
“There has been some criticism of why this investment is in Gramsh. This investment is in Gramsh because the children of Gramsh deserve it, and this investment is in Gramsh because the fans of this city deserve it, who love football and are passionate about it”, Duka emphasized.
In his speech, he also thanked the coaches of the city and the Gramsh area for their work and sacrifices over the years, as well as parents for their continuous support of their children.
“I hope this field will be filled with the voices and dreams of children who want to play football. Without wanting to go on, I want to thank the coaches of the city and the Gramsh area for the sacrifices they have made to date, and I wish them well on the new field, where they will have even better conditions to work”.
“Uniforma Ime”, concrete support for football children
The inauguration of the new stadium was also accompanied by the launch of a new edition of the FSHF project “Uniforma Ime” (“My Uniform”), through which children active in the clubs and academies of the Elbasan Regional Football Association will receive uniforms and basic sports equipment free of charge.
This project is another important investment by the Albanian Football Federation in support of children’s football, aiming to create the best possible conditions for their development and to ease the financial burden on families. Distributing uniforms and sports equipment will help children focus on training, playing and pursuing their sporting dreams.
President Duka emphasized the link between the infrastructure investment and the “Uniforma Ime” project, stressing that both initiatives share the same goal: to give children equal opportunities to play football, regardless of where they were born or live.
“As part of this strategy of the Football Federation, the free distribution of uniforms from the ‘Uniforma Ime’ project was also included, so that the children of Gramsh, with this infrastructure and these uniforms, can pursue their dreams just like any other child, regardless of where they were born”, said the President of the FSHF.
“I want to thank the parents very much, who have sacrificed a lot. I hope that we have also come to their aid through the ‘Uniforma Ime’ project, to make the children’s dreams a reality together. Enjoy the stadium! I hope we will have as many children playing football as possible and as many positive results as possible for the Gramsh team”, said the head of Albanian football.
