Egnatia drew 1-1 away at Aarhus in Denmark, continuing its positive run in the European adventure. The Albanian champions had the chance to leave with three points but, despite the advantage and numerical superiority for a long stretch of the match, failed to hold the result until the end.
The Rrogozhina side started the match at a high tempo and found the opening goal in the 13th minute. After a quick counterattack, Adjesa assisted Gruda, who was accurate against the opposing goalkeeper, sending the ball into the net.
The situation improved even further for Egnatia after Kahl was shown a red card in the 30th minute for an illegal challenge on Gruda, who was advancing toward goal. With a man advantage, the visitors had room to look for a second goal, but the chances created by Gruda and Kryeziu were not converted.
The second half brought a different story. Aarhus responded immediately after the break and in the 49th minute Bogere restored parity, taking advantage of the difficult moment for the Albanian side.
After conceding, Egnatia went forward again, with Gruda heading at goal several times but without success against the local goalkeeper.
In the remaining minutes, the score did not change. Egnatia secured a point away from home, keeping its unbeaten European run intact.
