The Premier League is going through a turbulent period, with some of England’s biggest clubs struggling for results and under increased pressure to respond.
City, the team led by Enzo Maresca, will face another meeting with the season’s surprise package, Brighton. The Londoners won their League Cup clash against them after a penalty shootout, and this time they will seek success in the league.
Liverpool-Arsenal is also a particularly weighty fixture. Mikel Arteta’s side will travel to Liverpool, currently in fourth place. Both teams have high-level players available, with names like Isak and Barcola on one side, while Gyökeres and Eze are on the other.
The Chelsea-Manchester United clash is also expected to be just as interesting. “The Red Devils” are going through a very difficult period, as in their last seven Premier League matches they have recorded four draws and three defeats, while also suffering two defeats in the Champions League and being eliminated from the League Cup. Michael Carrick has been confirmed in charge at least until the Champions League match against Roma on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Tottenham and Aston Villa aim to continue their positive run, seeking a third straight win against Crystal Palace and Fulham respectively.
