Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has responded for the first time since the serious injury he suffered with Paris Saint-Germain, sharing an emotional message with fans on social media. The Georgian forward admitted he is going through a difficult period, but expressed his determination to return to the pitch stronger than before.
In an Instagram post, the PSG star said he had prepared very carefully for the match, never imagining he would suffer such an injury. He also admitted that he initially found it difficult to understand why it had happened to him.
“Many people have asked me about this situation. Some even said that all the footballers in the world were praying for a draw. Maybe that’s so, but before every match I asked God to let me leave the pitch in good health. Unfortunately, this time my prayers were not answered.
Some time has passed, but I still ask myself: why me? Perhaps I prepared for this match more than for any other. I thought I was ready for everything, but not for this. Nevertheless, I understand that God has chosen me and, if this will save the players of the other team, I am ready to endure the difficult months of work, pain and tears.
I know I must come back stronger for my people, who are always by my side. I promise you that I will not betray you and will not let you down. Thank you all for your support. See you soon,” the Georgian star concluded.
