Juventus is going through a difficult period, but coach Luciano Spalletti has chosen not to raise tension within the squad. Instead of criticism and reprimands, the Italian coach has preferred to speak directly with the team’s leaders, to understand the problems and find the right solutions.
According to reports from Italy, Spalletti has held individual meetings with several of the most representative players in the dressing room, including Vicario, McKennie, Kalulu and Bremer. The coach’s message has been clear: the team must find a better balance, especially in the defensive phase.
For the Bianconeri, the first objective is to concede fewer goals and strengthen organization at the back. After just two months, Juventus does not want to risk compromising the season, so changes are expected to begin from the next Europa League match against Rennes.
According to the same reports, Juventus is preparing to play with a 3-4-1-2 formation. In this system, McKennie is expected to be positioned behind two strikers, while Kolo Muani may have a partner in the attack, with Nico Gonzalez and Oeltemade as possible alternatives.
This change aims to give more support to the French striker, who has often found himself isolated in the opponent’s area, without the proper help from his teammates.
Moreover, the choice of a two-striker system is also linked to the significant absences on the wings. Yildiz and Conceição, two of the main alternatives for the attack, are not available, pushing Spalletti to seek other tactical solutions.
