283 foreing observers and ambassadors on Terrain

 

283 international observers will be spread throughout Albania for the elections, mostly from OSCE/ODIHR, the organization that will certify these elections. The Spokesperson for OSCE/ODIHR in Tirana, Elma Sehalic, said for Top Channel that there will be 202 observers on terrain from 32 ODIHR member countries. The Council of Europe ahs sent 27 observers while the US Democratic Institution 6 others. 

The Embassies in Tirana will also provide their own observers. The biggest number comes from the US Embassy, with 26 observers and 36 translators.

The second person in charge at the US Embassy, Henry V.Jardine, will visit the areas of Kurbin and Kruja. Romana Vlahutin, the first person in acharge at the US Embassy in Tirana, will observe the situation in Durres and Kavaja.

The EU teams will visit some units throughout the country, from Tirana, Vora, Shkodra, Lezha, Malesi e Madhe, Vlora and Himara.

The German ambassador, Helmut Hoffman, and his Dutch copunterpart, Dewi van de Weerd, will be in Vora, Kamza and Kruja.

The British Ambassador, Nicholas Cannon and the French Ambasasdor, Bernard Fitousi, will monitor Tirana. The Italian Ambassador, Massimo Gaiani, will monitor Tirana and Durres.

The Spanisht ambasasdor, Silvia Josefina Martin Cortes will be in Shkoder. The Charge D’Affairs of Sweden, Patrick Svenson, will visit Himara and Saranda.
