Italy’s Friendly With Albania Confirmed
The Albanians come to Italy on Tuesday evening, a couple of days after the Azzurri’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Croatia, with the match originally moved to the port city after previous flooding in the region.
The FIGC have confirmed that the match will happen on November 18 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa, after recent flooding in the city caused concern for the fixture.
“We spoke to the mayor and the local authorities in Genoa, confirming we were prepared to cancel the game if it would cause problems,” FIGC director general Michele Uva told ANSA.
“The response was that on Tuesday Italy-Albania will go ahead. That is the situation for the moment.”
