Prosecution starts investigations for Durres voters’ list
The Durres Prosecution is investigating the electors’ list of this city after suspicions of 2800 fictive names added.
The Central Election Commission has also sent a report for these suspicions to the Prosecution. These persons have been added with fictive lease agreements as temporary voters in Durres.
The Prosecution has sent 600 orders of appearance and have interrogated 60 persons, residents of the Beach area, who claim to have leased their homes to various people.
“It appears that they have not leased their homes. There is reasonable doubt that the lease agreements are fake”, the Prosecution underlined.
For this reason, the Prosecution has asked the Court to suspend the Director of the Commune at the beach area, Alfred Dhuli, and notary Ines Aleksi. They are suspected of power abuse and forgery. The Court accepted the request.
