Serbian President: Kumanovo, terrorist attack for Greater Albania
Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic, says that what happened in Kumanova was a terrorist act of those who support the idea of Greater Albania. He asked the European countries to give a harsher reaction to this idea.
“The terrorist attacks and the provocations of the Albanian delegation in Belgrade, are a signal that the entire region is in danger. The idea of Greater Albania should be a concern for all countries with a considerable Albanian population”, Nikolic declared for the Italian news agency, ANSA.
According to Nikolic, the plans for Greater Albania start in 1878, with the Prizren League, which, according to him, aimed to remove lands from Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Montenegro from what he calls terrorist methods.
“It is important for the international community to recognize these actions as such”, the Serbian President says.
When asked about the orientation of Belgrade in the Foreign Policy, Nikolic said that it is crystal clear for the EU accession.
The Serbian President spoke about the stance towards Russia and for refusing to put sanctions to Moscow after the intervention in Ukraine.
“Serbia is a sovereign country that cannot forget its history, culture or current economic interests. Serbia is determined towards the EU integration, and for this we have implemented the agreements with Prishtina”, Nikolic declared, accusing the Albanians of Kosovo for lacking of will to implement the mutual agreement signed with the intermediation of Brussels.
