Three foreign companies show interest for oil research in Albania

Three foreign companies, including the giant “Shell”, have made a request to search for oil in the Block 4 and Dumrea areas. The National Food Agency says that they have realized the technical evaluation of the offers, but that should be first approved by the Ministry of Energy. 

After the consent of the Ministry, the Agency of Natural Resources says that Shell and Interland Investment are competing for the Block 4, while for the Dumrea block is added the Israeli Navitas, part of Delek Group.

Top Channel has learned that the Agency of Natural Resources has made a technical evaluation of the offers. Before declaring the winner, this evaluation must be approved by the Ministry of Energy.

As for the blocks of Panaja, Block C and Delvina, the bid deadline will be postponed to Autumn, since some big companies have requested more time.
